Aaron took Joan's hands between his own and rubbed them together in an attempt to warm them. The temperature was a frosty thirty five degrees, but Joan was determined to have her wedding photographs taken outside, so Aaron did everything he could to comfort and support her. He offered her his coat as we walked from place to place, gently guided her over rocks and down steep embankments as we took photos along the river, and wrapped her in his arms when she began to feel the chill. His love for her is steady, quiet, and strong, and I have no doubt that he will continue to care for her this way as long as she lives.
Aaron and Joan, thank you for inviting me to be part of your intimate winter celebration. I wish you both lots of joy and adventure in your marriage!
