Jamey and Ali's timeless Whitlock Inn wedding is a beautiful example of a classic Southern wedding. These two place a high value on tradition and family, and they honored their parents legacy by getting married in the same church as Ali's parents did many years ago. Ali chose an elegant black and white color palette and accented it with a bold, dramatic pops of wine colored design elements. They also made sure to tie in their love of Braves baseball by including Braves themed decor around the reception. My favorite (and arguably the most delicious) detail from the reception was the white chocolate dipped strawberries. They looked like sweet little baseballs!
He will tell you that he knew Rachel would be his bride from the moment he first saw her. She will tell you that for the longest time, she was unconvinced. Still, with time and persistence, Pete managed to show Rachel how beautiful their life together could be, and she fell head over heels in love with him. These two have been together for a few years now, and you can see from the way they treat each other that their love is the kind that has grown full and strong. Pete holds Rachel with attentive tenderness when they dance, and she leans into his embrace with trust that has been forged through good and bad days that they've worked through together. Believe me when I say that I loved being able to celebrate with this precious couple, and I am so excited to share these images with all of you.
Also, you'll have to forgive my overuse of smiley faces in this post. I was smiling like a Cheshire cat the whole time I wrote it, and that just naturally worked its way from my face to my fingers to the keyboard. Haha. Enjoy!
This wedding season is giving me a powerful case of shoe envy. How HOT are these shoes?!
Some brides are just meant to be Lauren Wright brides, and Rachel is definitely one of them. I love when I get to photograph brides who are expressive, affectionate, joyful and relaxed, and Rachel was all of these things. She and Pete are made for each other, and they are the perfect type of clients to work with.
Pete looked dashing in his formal attire.
I think Pete pulls off the James Bond look pretty well. What do you think? :)
OK Rachel, I have to level with you: You are so stunning it's ridiculous. Everyone's thinking it - I just had to say it out loud! :)
The girls looked super classy in their black cocktail dresses. I think this look is so elegant and it will never go out of style.
Aw, Pete you look SO happy!
It's no wonder when you have a beauty like this walking down the aisle toward you.
I wish all the weddings I photograph could have as much joy and laughter as this one did. It kept me smiling all day!
The photo of Rachel's veil is one of my new favorites. I just love the way the wind played with it as she ascended the stairs.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Mehravari! (Try saying that three times fast. Ha!)
I love shooting at venues like the the Whitlock Inn. It's a lush, green garden that looks so lovely in the summertime. Garden weddings are my favorite!
Pete and Rachel can I photograph you every day please? K thanks :)
The ballroom at the Whitlock Inn is beautiful. I love all of the chandeliers. It was a perfect complement to Rachel's color palette. I can't imagine a better venue for her simple, classy event.
If you look closely in this photo, you can see tears glistening in the corner of Pete's mom's eyes. Their dance was so sweet.
And then came the toasts, which were filled with side splitting laughter! :)
