Zach and Lina's Summerour wedding was such a perfect day! The weather was unseasonably warm, the floral arrangements were beautiful, and best of all the bride and groom were completely at peace and in love.
I was preparing to photograph the bride's bouquet when someone knocked on the door. I turned around and saw a beautiful young woman standing in the doorway with a shy smile on her face. "Hello," she said. "Are you a wedding photographer?" I smiled and raised the camera in my hand. "Yes! I'm actually photographing a wedding here today. I'm just waiting on the bride to arrive. How can I help you?" She introduced me to her fiance and said that they were getting married the following winter and were considering Summerour as a wedding venue. I shared with them how much I loved the property, how wonderful the Summerour team was to work with, and how much I enjoyed shooting there. She asked for a business card, but I had left them in the trunk of my car so I had to write my website address on an old receipt that I had in my bag.
I had to laugh at myself as I handed her the receipt. Wonderful, I thought. This makes me look really professional. She thanked me for my time, she and her fiance left, and I returned to photographing bouquets. A few weeks later I received an email from Alex and Kim. They had seen the photographs from Jeff & Kristin's Summerour wedding, and they wanted me to photograph their wedding, as well! I couldn't believe it. Talk about being in the right place at the right time. I love the way God works to bring people together.
Alex and Kim's wedding was truly a celebration of the people that they dearly love. Whether they were laughing with the life long friends that made up their bridal party, hugging on their parents and relatives, or dancing in each other's arms, they were intentional about showing love to everyone who attended. These two are warm and friendly, generous with their affection and their laughter, and completely in love. It was a joy to be part of their wedding day.
I've been sitting at my desk for the last hour or so with my hands poised over the keyboard, willing myself to find the right words to describe Jeff and Kristin's wedding. And honestly - honestly, y'all - all I can come up with is perfect. It was absolutely perfect. Their wedding took place on a rare, warm, sunny Saturday in February at Summerour Studio. The venue and decor were wonderfully elegant, but what made this wedding so fun to be a part of were the people. Jeff and Kristin and their families were relaxed, welcoming, and ready to celebrate the beginning of their marriage journey with overflowing joy.
Now these three remain: Faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love. Jeff and Kristin, thank you SO MUCH for inviting me to be part of your wedding! As I said, it was absolutely perfect! :)
I'd also like to extend a huge thank you to all of the wonderful vendors who made Jeff & Kristin's wedding a wonderful success!
