Married! David & Jennifer : Atlanta Contemporary Art Center

If you take a minute to read through this journal, two things will become apparent to you very quickly. The first is that I adore weddings, and the second is that I am highly enthusiastic about my clients. You may think I'm crazy, but I really do respect and admire the couples that I get to work with. If you got to know them the way that I do, I assure you that you would agree with me. I am so thankful to be invited into the lives of my couples, and I work hard to honor the trust that they put in me by creating images that they will love. This desire was overwhelming with David & Jennifer's wedding, because Jennifer is a fellow wedding photographer. Photographing her wedding was so much fun because she planned each detail with photography in mind. She chose a hotel room that was filled with natural light to get ready in. She chose a venue that provided lots of interesting and unique areas to create portraits. At every turn I was  greeted with charming handmade details. Jennifer poured so much love into planning her wedding, and her planning combined with the love and support of her friends and family made their wedding day absolutely perfect.

How much do you love her shoes?

Jennifer made the fascinator herself! She's so creative. :)

In addition to being a teacher and a photographer, Jennifer is also a graphic designer. She designed all of the printed details herself!

Jen's bridal style was classic and elegant with touches of vintage. She carried it off perfectly!

Jennifer you have such a beautiful, genuine smile!

Meanwhile, just a few floors down, David and the guys were getting ready as well.

Girl! You are SO gorgeous!

This was my first time shooting at the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, but I'm already in love! The venue is so unique, and there is lots of room to spread out and separate different parts of the reception. It helps create a perfect flow.

Here comes the bride :)

I love this shot that my second shooter, Erin, grabbed of David as Jennifer was walking down the aisle. He can't wait to catch a glimpse of her!

We had some serious fun with the portraits. I can't say it enough: I LOVE the Atlanta Contemporary!

After shooting around the ceremony area, Jennifer looked at me excitedly and said, "Have you seen the graffiti wall around the corner?" I hadn't yet, but of COURSE we had to go check it out! I love the contrast of Jennifer & David's elegance with the grungy surroundings of the graffiti.

Just so you know, I LOVE these next few!

The outdoor dining area at the Atlanta Contemporary is just stunning. Pat Orangio of Weddings of Distinction, Black Tie BBQ, and Edge Design Group worked together to create an absolutely beautiful dinner setting.

Kristin Clark designed David & Jennifer's wedding cake, and it was one of the most delicious cakes I've ever tasted. Trust me, I've tasted a LOT of weddings cakes, and this one just stands out. Not only was it beautiful and perfect for a fall wedding, it tasted just like a caramel apple! It was sweet and salty and bursting with cinnamon-y goodness.

Carrying through their natural fall theme, they gave caramel apples to each of their guests as a thank you. How original!

David & Jennifer's first dance was a combination of sweet slow dancing and spicy tango.

One final shot for you: Their glow stick exit. I love it. :)

David & Jennifer, I cannot thank you enough for inviting me to be part of your wedding! It really was a perfect day, and I hope that these photos will be as much of a blessing to you as you and your husband have been to me. Enjoy your mini-moon, and I can't wait to see you again soon!
