Down in Sugarland { Atlanta, GA }

I had such an amazing evening last night. As a (much belated) Christmas gift, I bought tickets for Robert and I to go see Sugarland perform at the Fabulous Fox Theater. It was such an incredible show. I've always been a fan of Jennifer Nettles, but after last night I can honestly say that she is one of my favorite artists. It's not because she's the greatest singer (although she is NOT lacking in vocal talent) or because she's a great performer (she looks like a total goober on stage). It's because when she is on stage, she seems so genuine and so excited. She laughs and dances like a little kid. She seems like the kind of person I would love to kick back on a porch swing and share inside jokes with, and her music speaks to me on such a simple level.

One of my favorite songs that she sings is "Want To." It speaks to my inner romantic and adventurer, and it's the kind of song that makes me want to throw my hands up and sing and dance. Even if you're not a fan of country music, I encourage you to check out this song. Just listen to it once and let me know what you think.

"Yeah, we've both got dreams we could chase alone... or we could make our own."
