I feel like I’ve been waiting an eternity to post this wedding! Back in October I traveled to St. Simons Island with my good friend Ava to help her photograph Heidi and Josh’s wedding. They are such a precious couple, and it was such a treasure to be able to share their wedding day with them.
As usual, I fell in love with their floral decor and details.

I started out photographing Josh and his guys getting ready, then right before the ceremony I joined Ava, Heidi and her bridesmaids.

This shot just steals my heart away. There’s something so inspiring about being around a group of people who are dedicated to pursuing the Lord together, and it was really cool for me to be able to capture this moment that they shared.

This is my favorite groomsmen shot EVER! These guys were so much fun, and they were willing to do pretty much anything I asked.

Heidi and Josh decided to see each other before the ceremony. Their first look was so sweet!

I love the light in these next few images. They really wanted photos on the beach, so we headed down there to wander around with them for a few minutes. I’m so glad we did, because I love these images.

<3 Favorite! Seeing each other before the ceremony didn't dim the effect that Heidi's walk down the aisle had on Josh.

They loved the little chapel on the island, but they wanted to get married outside, so they decided to get married in front of the chapel instead of inside it. I thought it was a brilliant idea.

These are by far some of my favorite “get away” images I’ve ever taken. As much as I love all night parties, I love the way leaving images look as sunset much better than I like the way they look at night. There are so many colors!

Heidi and Josh, celebrating your wedding with you was amazing. Ava, thanks for inviting me to shoot with you. It was so much fun!
