Married! Paul & Nikole : Greystone, Piedmont Park

Oh gosh, I don’t even know where to start on this one. I loved EVERYTHING about this wedding. Paul and Nikole had a wonderfully colorful, elegant and fun wedding, and I was blessed to be a part of it. Nikole made her passion for her photos clear from the first time we met, so naturally they chose to see each other before the ceremony and we wandered around Atlanta snapping photos at the Georgia Tech campus, Piedmont Park and, of course, the church they were married in. We could not have asked for a more perfect day – the weather was warm and breezy, and the fall color which I love so much was out in full force! I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

I’ll start with some of my favorite details. I was IN LOVE with Nikole’s bouquet! It reminded me of by own beautiful bouquet on my wedding day. What can I say, Nikole and I have exceptional taste!:)

Debby Wood with Brides and Blooms did such a beautiful job with the flowers! It was a joy to work with her and capture the beauty of her designs.

Paul & Nikole’s wedding day was full of laughter, which everyone knows is my favorite thing in the world to capture!

The beautiful bride and handsome groom:

For their first look, Nikole had her bridesmaids cover Paul’s eyes and walk him down the aisle to where she waited. It was so special for her to share this moment with her closest friends and family.

Our first stop of the day was at Tech Tower for some portraits of the beautiful couple. I love these!

Holy sweet potatoes! Check out those beautiful fall colors!:)

These three are my absolute favorites of the day. Why? I’m glad you asked!:)Sometimes, when I instruct a couple to pose a certain way, it is beautiful and flawless and.. well.. staged. Yep. I said it. As beautiful as these photos are, they tend to feel staged. Sometimes, though, I ask a couple to pose a certain way, something goes wrong, and they crumple into a pile of giggles and laughter. These are my favorite moments to capture, because they are completely candid and reveal pure joy and fun, as you can see below.

I don’t usually post wedding party photos, but I’m just so gloriously excited about the bright yellow trees that we found in Piedmont Park. I had to show them off.

Ceremony time!

After the ceremony, we braved the chill to get some photos with the Atlanta skyline. I love these (getting tired of this phrase yet? Haha!)

There you have it! A perfect fall wedding. Paul and Nikole, the love you share is a treasure, and I’m so glad you invited me to celebrate it with you. I wish you lots of joy and laughter in your married life!

Married! Reuben & Heidi : Roswell River Landing

I always love when my brides become like friends, but it’s even more special when my friends become my brides. Heidi went to high school with my husband, so I’ve known her for years. When she told me that she would never trust anyone else with her wedding photos, I was ecstatic! Heidi and Reuben have been together for a long time, and they are precious together. They love to laugh and have a good time, so their wedding was certainly a party!

I loved her bold, warm autumn color palette of red, orange and purple.

Wow, Heidi. Gorgeous!

The ceremony was really emotional for Heidi’s sister.

I love Heidi’s joyful, genuine smile.

Yay! Married!

By the time we got around to taking bride and groom portraits, the sun was mostly gone. Luckily, I know how to shoot in the dark!:)

This is my new favorite portrait. The looks on the girls’ faces are priceless!

In place of traditional wedding cakes, Heidi and Reuben opted for a cupcake tower and a stack of Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Um, YUM!

Heidi and Reuben, I loved being a part of your day! Thank you so much for inviting me to document it.

Married! Zach & Tessa : Sedona, AZ (Part 2)

I feel like I’ve been holding my breath waiting to share these. Get ready to fall in love with Part 2 of Zach & Tessa’s Sedona wedding.:)

Thank you, wind, for being so awesome. I love the look of a windswept wedding gown!

This image just sings love to me!:)It’s all joy and romance and good things.

Zach already told me they want to make this into a huge print to hang in their home! That’s what I like to hear!

After giving everyone time to clean up after the Jeep rides, the party got started at Agave at the Inn of Sedona.

They were a little excited.:)

I love this final frame from the reception.

Zach and Tessa, I don’t even know where to start. Really. Being a part of your wedding was like being part of a dream. Thank you so much for inviting me to celebrate with you and document your love. I hope that you cherish these moments, memories and photographs for as long as you cherish your love. You guys really are amazing.
