Engaged! Trey & Rebecca : Palmetto, GA

Confession time: These might be some of my favorite engagement photos. No, really. I know I’m not supposed to have favorites, but I can’t help it. I love these:)Rebecca is one of my sorority sisters. I lived with her for a year when I was in college, and she was Christine’s maid of honor. She is one of the sweetest, most joyful people I’ve ever met, and she and Trey are so cute together. Every smile shared between them is genuine. Every kiss is a foot-popping kiss. They love to laugh and dance together. Long story short: they were a dream to photograph. I hope you enjoy their photos as much as I do!

Rebecca brought along her white dress specifically so that she could wear these bright red shoes. She’s a girl after my own heart! She told me all about her super cute wedding shoes, and I can’t wait to see them in September.

More favorites:)This house was absolutely beautiful. It looked empty, so we took the opportunity to shoot on the front porch.

When I first talked to Rebecca and Trey about where they wanted to do their engagement session, they mentioned that they were outdoorsy people, so I knew immediately that Serenbe would be the perfect location. Don’t you think so?

I don’t get to see sunsets this color very often, so I’m always really excited when I get to see one in Georgia.

Rebecca and Trey, you guys ROCK! I can’t wait to celebrate your wedding with you in September!

Engaged! Ryan & Melissa : Marietta, GA

When I first started talking to Melissa about her wedding and her relationship with Ryan, she said something that really made me smile. If we could, we would get married tomorrow… You see, Ryan and Melissa have been together for 6 years, and their wedding will be celebrating the continuation of what is already a life long love. They are high school sweethearts and best friends, and they can’t wait to give their lives to one another.

I love the vibrant colors and warm light in this image.

Melissa was so cute as we walked into the square. Ryan proposed to her in this gazebo at the same time of day that we were taking this picture. Ryan squeezed her hand and smiled at her as the bells began to chime the hour. Remember this walk? he asked. She placed a hand on her stomach to calm down the butterflies her memories stirred up. It was so cute!

I had so much fun with you guys! I can’t wait to celebrate your wedding with you next June!

Alex & Brittany : Los Angeles, CA

Hurray, I’m posting again!:)While I was in LA this week, Brittany let me stay at the apartment that she shares with a few of her friends. I was a little nervous at first because Brittany is a friend of a friend and I didn’t even get to talk to her until my plane landed, but as soon as she greeted me with a warm hug, my nervousness fled. I had so much fun hanging out with these girls chatting about life and love and the ways that God is working in our lives. It was such a blessing to get to spend a few days with such a wonderful group of young ladies, and I know that God is going to use them in an amazing way.

It would have been a shame to fly to California and not be able to capture two people in love in the gorgeous SoCal light, so when Brittany found out I was looking for a couple to photograph she and Alex gladly volunteered. These two have such a sweet, simple love and they are dedicated to honoring God together in their relationship. They laugh together A LOT (see pictures below if you don’t believe me) and I had a wonderful time exploring Burbank with them.

Brittany: I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – you have such a beautiful, relaxed smile. You make my job so easy!:)

Aww, how sweet! I love the lines in this one.

I love that you can see the mountains in the background in the next few images.

And of course it wouldn’t be a trip to California if I didn’t get to see Kyleen! We spent this morning driving to potential ceremony and reception sites, and I couldn’t be more excited about her wedding coming up in April! It’s going to be simple, stress-free and GORGEOUS!

I promise my new site design is coming soon. I got to see the finished product last night, and it looks AMAZING! It just needs a few tweaks before I can share it with you, so stay tuned:)
