We were crazy. We were dreamers. We were dancers, cowgirls, explorers, soldiers and movie stars. We were story tellers and secret keepers. We were ten and twenty and every age in between. We were children, we were neighbors and we were best friends. Even though I didn’t move to Georgia until I was ten, I still feel like most of my childhood memories have Ashley in them. I guess it’s because the ones we shared were the best ones. It seems impossible that the dreams and ambitions that we’ve shared with each other for a lifetime are finally taking shape, but it’s happening, and it makes me feel so grown up.

This weekend I had the absolute pleasure of celebrating the wedding of one of my childhood best friends to the man of her dreams. Ashley and Noah actually got engaged long before Robert and I had even thought about getting married, but due to Noah’s service in the Air Force, their wedding kept having to be moved, changed and postponed. It’s been a long and challenging journey, but I’m sure that Ashley would tell you that her perfect, barefoot beach wedding was well worth the wait.

Because Ashley and Noah were separated for much of their engagement, we didn’t really have an opportunity to do an engagement session until the night before the wedding. Between the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, we snuck away for a few minutes to capture a few casual portraits of the two of them together. Looking through these photos puts a HUGE smile on my face, and I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

Remember Marc & Nicole’s engagement photos from last week? Well, while I was with them, I took the opportunity to shoot with my new/old Nikon F5. I went through two rolls of black and white film, and I have to admit I’m a little in love with it.

Wow, I’ve been so busy managing my wedding work that I almost forgot to post Marc & Nicole’s engagement photos! These two are getting married in just a few weeks, and I can’t wait. Nicole is a very special person to me. She was one of my Alpha Gam sisters, and she was the maid of honor at the first wedding I ever photographed. She has been a cheerleader and supporter from Day 1 of my business, and I am honored that she invited me to document her wedding. We began their session at Summerour, a beautiful new event venue in Atlanta, and we finished up at the Old Mill in Roswell.
