Christ the King & Piedmont Driving Club Wedding

Mac and Brittney's stylish Southern wedding at the Piedmont Driving Club was an absolute dream to be a part of! Brittney was radiant in her dress from Suite Bridal, and with Katie and the team from Watermark weddings managing every detail, she was free to focus on celebrating with her family and closest friends without stress or worry. When I arrived, she greeted me with a warm hug and exclaimed how excited she was that I would be spending her wedding day with her. I photographed her brother and sister-in-law's Piedmont Driving Club wedding two years ago, and I was honored and excited to be invited to join her sweet family again. This is why I love my couples so much! We meet as strangers, but by the time the night is over and the sparklers have burned out, we are like family.

Their ceremony at Christ the King was both elegant and deeply personal. Father Lee was one of Mac's teachers when he attended school at CTK, and the homily he shared was kind, inspiring, and filled with words of love. My favorite moment from their ceremony occurred shortly before Brittney walked down the aisle. The last bridesmaid had made her way to the altar, and the whole room was anxiously awaiting the arrival of the bride. The organist began playing the wedding march, and just before the doors opened, Mac grasped the hem of his jacket and tugged on it to straighten it out. It's as if he was thinking, "She's going to be so beautiful. I have to make sure I don't look like a mess beside her!"

I loved the soft, feminine floral arrangements designed by the team at Tulip Blooming Creations. They were the perfect compliment to the bridesmaids' flowing blue Bella Bridesmaid dresses! And let me tell you: if you're looking for a live band that will keep your guests involved and entertained, look no further than the Tams! They kept the reception rocking into the late hours of the evening.

Congratulations, Mac and Brittney! And thank you for inviting me to document and celebrate with your sweet family. I enjoyed every minute of it, and I wish you lots of joy and adventure in your marriage!
