I love shooting at Serenbe. Not only is it a beautiful location, but it’s full of animals! Who doesn’t love that Here is a sample of a few of the friends I made while shooting Trey & Rebecca’s engagement session.

When I first started talking to Melissa about her wedding and her relationship with Ryan, she said something that really made me smile. If we could, we would get married tomorrow… You see, Ryan and Melissa have been together for 6 years, and their wedding will be celebrating the continuation of what is already a life long love. They are high school sweethearts and best friends, and they can’t wait to give their lives to one another.

Melissa was so cute as we walked into the square. Ryan proposed to her in this gazebo at the same time of day that we were taking this picture. Ryan squeezed her hand and smiled at her as the bells began to chime the hour. Remember this walk? he asked. She placed a hand on her stomach to calm down the butterflies her memories stirred up. It was so cute!

I had so much fun with you guys! I can’t wait to celebrate your wedding with you next June!

I spent about thirty minutes this morning trying to come up with a humorous, interesting way to blog about my time in Vancouver, but so far the writing well has come up dry, so I’m just going to talk straight to you this morning. I arrived in Vancouver on Thursday night, got interrogated by the guy at customs, hopped into the car with the fabulous Jamie Delanie, spent yesterday morning driving around one of the most beautiful cities in the world (seriously) and last night had some AMAZING portraits made by my new friend. I’ve learned that the skies are cloudy for most of the year, that I would never be able to afford a home here, and that I am definitely going to want to return soon. In short: I’m having a wonderful time (see pictures below if you don’t believe me) and I am kind of sad that I have to leave tomorrow.
