I just got back from a long weekend in New Orleans where I photographed David & Whitney’s wedding. To say that these two are an encouragement to me would be an understatement. I can’t wait to share the rest of their images with you!

It takes a special kind of confidence for a bride to relax on her wedding day. There’s so much energy and activity going on around her, and it’s so easy to get swept up in it and let your nerves get frazzled. Luckily for me, Miranda had this confidence (and according to her, she had gotten all of her frazzledness out the day before). She was ready to be married, and come hell or high water, at the end of the day she was just excited to be able to say she will get to spend the rest of her life with Matt. Their wedding was a special day to be a part of, because it had very little to do with putting on a production and everything to do with celebrating the start of a new life together. I’m so excited to share these photos with you
I am head over heels in LOVE with her dress. It is so chic! I also love the lines in this shoe shot. The girls had Magna’s Salon all to themselves, and I had so much fun wandering around and capturing the details.
Dear Miranda: You are beautiful. The end.

While the ladies were busy being pampered at the spa, Matthew and the guys were hanging out having a few drinks around the corner at the Palace Saloon.

Despite the fact that the weather forecast called for thunderstorms in the afternoon, the rain held off until well after dark and we were able to take advantage of the beautiful light that was peering through the clouds.

I seriously feel like the luckiest photographer in the world. Not only do I have the pleasure of photographing gorgeous brides, I also get to photograph all of their beautiful friends! How cute are they? Oh, and the lovely lady on the far left is Jena – a past bride, current blog follower and faithful referrer. She has been one of my biggest cheerleaders and encouragers, and she totally brightens up my life!
Isn’t the flower girl adorable? She’s Miranda’s niece and she’s a total ham.
You can see it written all over her face: She’s so ready to be Matt’s wife!
This photo makes me giggle. The minister was giving his spiel about the rings, and Miranda looks up at Matthew and says, “Are you ready for this? Are you ready for this ring?”
This photo just makes me feel proud. It was taken by my friend & first time assistant Kyleen, who came with me just for fun and received a crash course in how to use an SLR earlier that morning. She did really well for her first time shooting!

I love this sweet moment I captured of Miranda dancing with her dad.

Matthew and Miranda, I had SO much fun celebrating your wedding with you! I wish you lots of joy and many adventures together, and I hope to be able to see you again soon. If the bouquet catching trend continues, I may see you at Stephanie’s wedding one day!
Courtney Craver Love the orangey wall... I would have so much fun with a wall like that! Great shots.

Hey everyone! I just got back in town from Matthew & Miranda’s wedding in Fernandina Beach, and I had an amazing time. I can’t wait to share all of my favorites with you. For now, here’s one shot of the fabulous couple and one of Jena (bridesmaid & one of my former brides), Miranda (the bride) and me.
Scarlett Lillian Awww pretty. Glad the weather held up for you!
