Married! Edoardo & Christy : Blairsville, GA

Christy is an event planner from the small town of Blairsville, GA. Edoardo is a sharp dressing Italian man working in the US Virgin Islands. Who is it that brought these two love birds together? Why, Kenny Chesney, of course! Christy is an avid fan of Kenny Chesney, so naturally she was ecstatic when the opportunity arose to plan a party for him in the Virgin Islands. She couldn’t have known that getting close to her heart throb would also bring her close to her future husband. They worked together to organize the party, and the rest is history!

This is truly one of the most personal celebrations I’ve ever had the opportunity to be a part of, and I enjoyed every moment of it. Here is a sample of the details from their day. I love the combination of Tiffany blue and brown.

The woman in the next photograph is Christy’s hairstylist. She’s been cutting and styling Christy’s hair since she was a toddler. How cool is that?

Doesn’t Christy look radiant here? She’s hugging on the woman who is pretty much her 2nd mom.

I love the excitement on her face!

Can’t you just feel the love in this picture? This is right after their first kiss. They’re so happy!

A quiet (or not so quiet) moment outside the church. Ed’s mom is from Scotland, so they surprised her with a bagpiper at the ceremony.

I adore this image. This little girl is completely and totally fixated on that cake!

Ed and Christy wanted to spend as much time with family and friends as possible, so we waited until most of their guests had left before we did their couple’s portraits. The reception was held at a cabin that Christy designed herself. It was so fun to explore the area around the house and find fun places to shoot.

To help preserve the beautiful wood floors, Ed and Christy had these slippers made for their guests to wear. They have their names and wedding date embroidered on the front. I’m not going to lie – I wish I could photograph all of my receptions in comfy house slippers!

Ed and Christy, I had so much fun celebrating with you and your families. I hope you guys have fun on your African honeymoon!

Ed & Christy : Sneak Peek

I just got back from Ed and Christy’s wedding a few hours ago, but I couldn’t wait to get started editing their images. This is one of my favorites from the day. More coming later. For now, I’m going to eat with friends before flaunting my vocal skills with some karaoke:)

Engaged! Joe & Jennifer : Atlanta, GA

I love laughter. There’s something about a good laugh and a genuine smile that adds energy and fun to any image. It can be the difference between a simple portrait and a great photograph. It’s better than Photoshop:)

Any of you who have found me through Facebook have likely seen my tagline: “Stylish, personal wedding photography.” I love producing images that are stylish and fashion-inspired, but it’s even more important to me to produce images that reflect the spirit and personality of my clients. I want someone to be able to pick up one of my photographs and learn something about the people in it. Take Joe & Jennifer for example.

It kind of goes without saying that they have a playful, joy filled relationship. From what I can tell, they have a great balance of steadiness and comic relief when they’re together, with Jennifer providing the calm and Joe providing the jokes (although that could have something to do with the bag of sour patch kids he ate before the session:)). I didn’t have to work to get a smile out of them as long as they were focused on each other.

Joe and Jennifer brought along their dogs so that we could take a few complete family photos:)These two had SO much energy, and even my silly antics couldn’t hold their attention for long.

We also took a few minutes to grab some photos for Jennifer to use in their save the date cards. Aren’t they so cute?
