Even though the forecast called for rain, it held off and Erika was able to have the outdoor wedding that she so dearly wanted. It was a beautiful day.

Wow, I can’t believe I’ve been engaged over a month already! Time flies when you’re having fun. Wedding planning has indeed been all that I expected it to be – exciting, stressful, fun, frustrating, amazing, challenging and a million other things that I can’t think of right now, but believe me, it’s all of those things! My favorite part thus far has been having our engagement photos done by my incredibly talented friend Scarlett Lillian. She is marvelous in general, but I have to say I am more in love with her work now than I have ever been, because she did such an amazing job capturing Robert and I together. I loaded all of the photos onto my iPhone today, and I think I flipped through them about once an hour. Here is a little taste. If you want to see more of them, you should visit Scarlett’s blog.

On another really exciting note, I have chosen my bridesmaids! And by chosen, I really mean confirmed. I’ve known for years that I wanted these seven women to stand by me as I walk into my future with my husband. They have shaped me, impacted me, loved me, encouraged me and challenged me to be the best that I can be, and I couldn’t ask for a more amazing group of friends. You’ll be seeing a lot more photos of these ladies as we get closer to the wedding, but for now here’s a little teaser. We snapped this picture at my 19th birthday party, and it’s one I treasure because it’s the only picture so far that has all of us in it!
