Married! Sean & Lauren : Snellville, GA

They’re right for each other. They just are. They fit together the way the best things in life do – by design. God chose to bring them together, and they celebrate that truth every day. Sean is the bounce in Lauren’s step and she’s the sugar in his sweet tea. Their love has a beautiful simplicity to it. They are adventurers, and they are excited to explore all that life has to offer together.

I love the balance these two shots reveal in their relationship. Lauren brings the sass and Sean brings the laughs. I love it!:)

Lauren and Sean decided to see each other before the ceremony for their portraits together. I love when couples do this, because it gives them plenty of time to just relax and enjoy each others company without being rushed to attend the reception. I loved the look on Sean’s face when he saw Lauren for the first time. And it’s no wonder – Lauren looked GORGEOUS!

Hehe. I love this shot of the ring bearer and flower girl. She still had an entire basket of petals left by the time she reached the end of the altar, so she just kept tossing them. It was so cute.

The team that decorated the chapel did such a great job. They completely transformed it from a simple, humble chapel altar to an elegant setting draped in tool and softly lit.

I chose quite a few shots of the bride and groom dancing to showcase here because I just couldn’t pick a favorite:)

Contest Winner & Sneak Peek

First of all, thanks to everyone who participated in the Get Pumped! It’s Wedding Day contest! It was so much fun listening to all of the songs that yall suggested. After much careful consideration and a whole lot of dancing along to different beats, I’m pleased to announce that the winner is the lovely and talented Melissa McClure! I have to stand up and dance every time I hear “Every time we touch.” It’s pretty fantastic. Also, I have to share part of a really fun email I got from Denise Myers from the Carl House.

“P.s. I was reading your blog and I had to laugh at the one about the pump-it-up songs you requested, because when you were here last one of our servers recognized you from the last time you were at CH and she said : the “singing photographer” is here! Hee, Hee! If you’re going to have a nickname, that’s a good one to have! I’m glad you are full of joy and love your work…. I do too!”

Isn’t that so cool? I love it:)And since any photographer’s blog post is only as good as the pictures it includes, here’s a sneak peek from Sean & Lauren’s wedding!

Married! Derrick and Tina : Auburn, GA

You may remember Derrick and Tina from their engagement session in Piedmont Park. They brought along a blanket and picnic basket and just enjoyed the afternoon. Their love for the simple pleasures in life was brought through in their wedding as well. Tina wore a beautiful, classic gown that perfectly suited her personality. The location was decorated with lovely green and ivory arrangements, and the whole event was simple and elegant. I loved being a part of it.

I am incredibly blessed as a photographer. I think my brides are absolutely stunning, and Tina is no exception. She’s gorgeous!

I love how happy Derrick looks here.

The Carl House is such a beautiful location for a wedding. Denise and the rest of the Carl House team are very professional and they’re a pleasure to work with. Not to mention, the light in this shot just makes me want to melt with happiness!

Happily married!:)

I love the property around the Carl House. There are so many different places to shoot.

I love the way the photo on the left shows off the detailing on Tina’s gown.

Like I mentioned in their sneak peek, Derrick and Tina rode off in a vintage Bentley, so naturally we had to take some pictures with it!

I know this one is really grainy, but I love it anyway. Embrace the grain!:)

What a cute couple of snugglers! This photo is so sweet.

HELLLLOOOOOOOO HOT STUFF!:)

Last one for the day! I can’t think of a better way to end a wedding post.

Derrick and Tina, I had SO MUCH FUN celebrating with the two of you and your families! Seriously, yall are amazing, and I wish you many adventures in your married lives.
