Get ready for Part 2 of THE AWESOMENESS!![]()
After the ceremony, we all piled into a van and rode over to the river front to photograph the bridal party and David and Whitney together. Isn’t this a great looking group? I love the dresses Whitney chose for her bridesmaids. They were well suited to her whimsical, “day in the park” themed wedding.

David and Whitney wanted to do their couple’s portraits along the river because this is where they shared their first kiss.

We decided to walk to the Bourbon House from the river walk, which turned into quite the adventure because it was a lot farther than any of us were anticipating. It worked out well, though, because we found lots of beautiful areas to take pictures in.

David and Whitney’s wedding was held at the Bourbon House, and it was beautifully decorated. The arrangements on the tables were all distinct, and they were inspired by nature. The Bourbon House is actually a restaurant and bar downstairs, and the upstairs has a lounge feel. With the great cajun food and live jazz band, it was the perfect way to end an evening in New Orleans.

Oh, how I love to photograph people when they dance. I love being able to capture the special way that people hold and embrace each other while they’re dancing. They forget to pose, they forget to try to force a smile. They relax into each others arms and just enjoy being together.

I can only hope for a marriage as wonderful as this for my own 2 daughters (and 5 sons) and for photographs as lovely as these. We attend church with the Tuggles and have enjoyed “being there” through your photographs. Thank you!
