Fashion Feature : Dolly Couture

Confession time: I love 50′s fashion. LOVE it. There’s just something about poofy, swirly skirts and sweetheart necklines that make my heart sing. I could spend hours wandering through rows of 50′s dresses if given the chance. Unfortunately, the closest I come to that is browsing the online catalog for Posh Girl Vintage. But I digress. I love 50′s fashion, so when I stumbled across the work of well loved designer Dolly Thicke, I was hooked. I had to see them for myself, so I emailed her, confessed my adoration, and asked if she’d mind letting me borrow a few of her gowns for a fashion shoot. She called me back that evening, and the rest, as they say, is history!

These dresses are stylish, cute and extremely well made. In addition to being sweet and an absolute pleasure to work with, Dolly is committed to delivering a high quality product. You won’t find any thin, discolored or overly shiny fabrics here, and the dresses are finished beautifully. If you’re looking for a fun, sassy, elegant dress for your wedding, you should check out her line of custom gowns. You won’t be disappointed:)

Now, on to the photos! In the first few, Willie is sporting the Manhattan, one of Dolly’s best selling gowns, and it’s no wonder! It’s such a simple, elegant design, and it can be dressed up or down in a number of ways.

Now, I could have packed up and gone home once the sun set, but where’s the fun in that? It just so happens that I had a fog machine and some colored gels in my trunk, so I decided to play. Willie is a wonderful model and she did a great job with the photos above, but she seriously unleashed her inner diva for these photos, and I couldn’t be more pleased. She’s so awesome!
