Ice skating with Suzanne & Family { Centennial Olympic Park }

The temperature in Atlanta this morning was just below freezing, so of course my friends and I thought it would be a perfect day to go ice skating outdoors! Even though I couldn’t feel my toes after 30 minutes on the ice, I can’t think of a better way that I could have spent this morning. I love ice skating, but I haven’t been since I was in high school. I fully expected to spend half of the morning falling on my bum, but surprisingly I was able to stay on my feet the whole time and help teach a new skater how to stay on her feet. All in all, it was a great day!

I wouldn’t let Suzanne leave until we got a picture of our double-layer socks. Can you guess which foot belongs to me?

Normally Samantha (or Manny, as her friends and family call her) does not like to have her picture taken, but she didn’t seem to have too much of a problem posing with her sisters!

Suzanne and I have been close friends for almost five years, and even though being at school keeps us separated and busy most of the time, we still work really hard to fit girl time in together when we are home for the holidays. She is so bubbly and fun, and she is one of the few friends I have that will burst into song with me even if we’re in public. You know I love you, Suzanne! Finally, here is a picture that Suzanne took of me while I was skating and being completely myself:

Check out what’s new!

Digging Deeper. My greatest focus in 2009 will be really and truly building relationships with my clients and discovering how I can best capture their personalities. I’ve got a special surprise gift lined up for my current wedding clients that will help with this process, and I can’t wait to spend time getting to know each of my couples in a new way.

New Products. I’ve ordered new sample albums, and I can’t wait to share them with all of you! I have fallen in love with Finao Albums, and all 2009 clients will have the option of including a 12×12 album with their wedding photography collection. These albums area beautiful, hand-crafted works of art, and they are the perfect match for my aesthetic and design style.

Exciting New Adventures. I’ve spent a lot of time this Fall building relationships with a few Atlanta area magazines, and in 2009 I will regularly be submitting work for publication. Hopefully you will be seeing my work in print very soon! Also, I will be traveling all over the Southeast documenting weddings, so stay tuned for many more travels.

I am so excited about the start of 2009. I look forward to seeing what God has planned for my life and the lives of the people around me. As I end my first blog post of the new year, I want to leave you all with the following prayer. It was written by Sir Frances Drake,
