On the road again { Los Angeles, CA }

On the road again… I can’t wait to get on the road again! Yes, dear friends, tomorrow morning I’m hoping on a flight to LA, where I will spend the weekend adventure seeking with my best friend, Kyleen. I won’t be blogging while I’m there, but make sure to check back early next week for lots of pictures. I can’t wait to share all of my adventures with you!

Jenny { Class Project }

I was so excited when Jenny called me on Friday afternoon to ask me to do a photo session with her. She is an Industrial Design major at Georgia Tech, and these images were for a class project that she is working on having to do with color. It sounded like a fun and interesting idea to me, so we headed over to her house, where she unrolled a Twister board and poured on the paint. She looks like she’s having so much fun, don’t you think?

After seeing her momma getting so much attention, Lucy, Jenny’s one year old Corgi, decided that she wanted to get in on the picture-action as well! She is so small and SOO spunky! I always love photographing animals, because- like people – each one has a different personality, and I love being able to capture it!

Brian & Dana { Atlanta, Ga }

When asked how she wanted her wedding day to be remembered, Dana responded, “I want it to be a party worth coming to town for.” And what a party it was! Dana and Brian were married Saturday night at the Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Atlanta, Ga. The ceremony started at 7:30, so the sun had set long before we had a chance to head outside for pictures. Luckily, these guys loved the idea of having their portraits done with the lamplit streets of downtown as their background. Before they headed off to the reception, I was able to grab a few shots of them with their getaway car.

The reception was held at the Wyndham Hotel in Midtown. Brian and Dana waltzed around the floor for their first dance, and when they finished the DJ kicked up the music and the dance floor was flooded with people. I love music and dancing, so I was right at home with this group. They danced long into the evening in celebration of their new lives together, and once the reception came to a close we headed out into the courtyard to grab a few more images of the couple alone. Somewhere in there I snuck away to have some fun photographing the rings, as well.
